Founded in 1991 by Chinese businessman Jiang Li and initially considered as a supplier of semi-industrial and industrial air conditioners and York chillers in China and North Asia, in just a few years, it has grown from a distributor to a full-fledged manufacturer of scroll, screw, and then centrifugal chillers with air and water cooling, ventilation and air handling units, outdoor and indoor units of multizone VRF systems, heat pumps and other climate equipment under the TICA brand.

In 1995, the TICA trademark was registered. In 1998, TICA received its first patent, a labyrinth seal for an air handling unit that reduces air leakage to 0.029%. This development spurred the development of the enterprise: in addition to semi-industrial air conditioners and chillers, it began to produce ventilation and air handling systems.

The expansion of the assortment entailed the creation of full-fledged production bases. In 1999, in Nanjing, TICA, together with East China Electronics, opened its first base, and a year later it was certified according to the ISO 9000 series standards, adopted as national standards in more than 190 countries. Two years later, the TICA production base was put into operation in Tianjin, in 2010 - in Guangzhou. Today, the enterprise's capacity includes five bases with an area of ​​10-170 thousand square meters and eight factories.

The production portfolio of the company was replenished no less rapidly. Already in 2000, the first ventilation units with a heat recovery section left the conveyors, in 2001 and 2002 - screw chillers with water and air cooling, respectively, in 2003 - ground-to-water and water-to-water heat pumps, in 2005 - flooded screw chillers, in 2006 - modular water-cooled chillers and outdoor units of VRF systems with fully digital control, equipped with scroll compressors.
